About OrACRAO

OrACRAO is a non-profit, voluntary, professional association of more than 45 two-year and four-year, private and public institutions of higher education.

OrACRAO exists to disseminate information and provide for the interchange of ideas on problems of mutual interest to member institutions. The association strives to foster a better understanding of the activities of member institutions and to develop a spirit of cooperativeness, helpfulness, and unity in the solution of mutual problems.

A Strategic Plan was developed based on a member survey and a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) for the 2015-2017 time period. Three strategic plans emerged:

  • Fostering Connections

  • Improved website functionality/usability

  • Clarifying our foundation (By Laws, Conference/Workshop Programming)

The values that respondents identified for our association included leadership, teamwork, professionalism, dependability and camaraderie. Read the complete Strategic Plan here.
